			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This week I will be introducing small group rotations.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve spent the last two weeks training my students on classroom procedures and expectations. We will now put them into actions.</p>
<p>Two days each each we will focus on whole group instruction and two days each week we will further enhance those skills in small groups.</p>
<p>Fridays will be review day and FCAT Friday, where we will focus in on FCAT &#8220;Marking the text &#8221; skills.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline"><em><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">This Friday, we will have a test on Expedition one</span></strong></em></span>&#8230;. Students need to be familiar with the vocabulary word from this unit, this difference and components of narrative and expository writings, the five finger rule for finding main idea.</p>
<p>We are off to a great start&#8230;</p>

<p>Escambia County School District is in the primary stages of introducing the Parent Portal for the TEMS Gradebook program. Teachers will be publishing your child’s assignments to the Parent portal. Please note that not all courses will display assignments, only the courses where teachers are participating and publishing their assignments to the portal. To access your student&#8217;s grades, you will need to register for a Username and password.</p>

<p>Click on the Continue button.<br />
Your Username will be your email address.<br />
Please make note of the password across the top of this window.<br />
A copy of your password will also be emailed to the email address provided above.</p>
<p>Next go to <a title="TEMS Parent Portal" href="http://tems.escambia.k12.fl.us/" target="_blank">http://tems.escambia.k12.fl.us/</a> and click on Parent Login button, or go to <a title="The Escambia County School District's Homepage" href="http://www.escambia.k12.fl.us/" target="_blank">http://www.escambia.k12.fl.us/</a>, Parent Portal, and click on the TEMS link.<br />
Type your user name in the Username box (the e-mail address you registered with) and password.<br />
Click on the Login button. This will take you to the TEMS Today at School screen.</p>
<p>The program displays the parent menu along with other options.</p>
<p><em>Today at School</em> will show any District and School Announcements.<br />
<em>Calendar Dates </em>will also show any announcements for that day.<br />
<em>Assignments </em>will show assignments published by the teacher, along with any assignment information.<br />
<em>Class Progress </em>will show courses along with grading period grades. Note this grade will include all published and unpublished assignments.</p>
